Country Lullaby

Country Lullaby

By A C Hayes

The sun goes down and the light show begins

Beautiful pinks, oranges, blues, and purples light up the sky

Then you hear the symphony begins

Coyotes howl

Crickets chirp

Winds blow

Trees rustle

The whip-or-wheel sings

This is my country lullaby

The moon, so full and bright

Shines down like a big spotlight

The stars sparkle and shine,

Covering that big black sky

Then you hear the country lullaby

Coyotes howl

Crickets chirp

Winds blow

Trees rustle

The whip-or-wheel sings

This is my country lullaby

Sittin’ in the porch swing,

Just me and Ol’ Roy

Swayin’ to the beat

Enjoyin’ the night air

Then you hear the symphony begin

Coyotes howl

Crickets chirp

Winds blow

Trees rustle

The whip-or-wheel sings

This is my country lullaby
